Sectolin TEDAX Insect repellent

Sectolin TEDAX is an anti-insect spray containing the active ingredient Saltidin. The spray helps repel (tropical) mosquitoes, (sting) flies and ticks on both humans, dogs and horses

Features

Use to repel:

• (Tropical) mosquitoes and stinging flies in humans (riders)
• Mosquitoes, gnats and (stable) flies in horses.
• Mosquitoes and ticks in dogs.

Administration

This product should only be applied and rinsed off over a paved surface to prevent soil contamination. Use the product only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.

Keep the aerosol 10 to 15 cm from the skin while spraying and keep the nozzle away from the face. The skin can be treated with a slow waving motion. Apply to the head by first spraying a small amount into the palms of the hands and then spread over the head and neck. The product should be applied once a day maximum on humans, horses and dogs. Factors such as temperature, humidity and sweating may affect the effect of the product.

• In riders: use TEDAX just before contact with (tropical) mosquitoes or stinging flies is expected. Apply the remedy evenly to uncovered parts of the body. Avoid the eyes and mouth. When applying to the face, spray a small amount onto the palms of the hands first and then spread over the head and neck.
[In horses: use the product when the horse will be in contact with flies or mosquitoes, e.g. during an outdoor ride, competition or grazing. When applied to horses, the remedy should only be applied before riding
• In dogs: TEDAX can be used on dogs that will come into contact with mosquitoes or ticks, for example while walking

Dosage

• For riders: when applied evenly over the skin, TEDAX contributes to 6 hours of protection against (tropical) mosquitoes and 4 hours against stinging flies. After application, the remedy protects immediately.
• For horses: for a 450 kg horse, spray 200 g of the remedy evenly over the entire body surface for at least 2 minutes. TEDAX helps 24 hours against the defence of (stable) flies and mosquitoes immediately after application
• In dogs: for a 40 kg dog, apply 7 g of TEDAX by spraying the remedy evenly on the body surface for at least 7 seconds. The remedy helps for up to 8 hours against mosquito repellent and 4 hours against ticks. Protection starts immediately after application.

Contra-indicaties

• Not to be used on children under 3 years of age
• Do not apply on damaged skin (wounds, irritation, sunburn).
• Do not apply under clothing.
• Do not apply under the saddle.
