Food hypersensitivity
Hypersensitivity to food is unusual in cats and dogs. Food hypersensitivity can cause both skin complaints and difficulties in the gastrointestinal tract. The disease is rarely life threatening, but may cause your pet quite a lot of discomfort. If you are willing to take the time to find the cause and follow a special diet, your pet can live a healthy life for many years. Royal Canin Sensitivity Control Diet
Royal Canin Sensitivity Control Diet has been developed to treat food hypersensitivity. Food hypersensitivity can cause skin issues and problems in the gastrointestinal tract. Sensitivity control contains selected protein and carbohydrate sources which reduces the chance to get a food hypersensitivity reaction. A special combination of vitamins and zinc reduces moisture loss through the skin and improves the barrier function of the skin. Omega 3 fatty acids help to limit skin reaction and have an anti-inflammatory effect. The combination of Fruco-Oligo-Saccharides and zeolite creates a balanced intestinal flora and helps to protect the intestinal wall. Royal Canin Sensitivity Control also reduces the formation of struvite and calcium crystals in the urine. The food is free of lactose and gluten and contains L-tyrosine for an optimal pigmentation of the coat.
