    Royal Canin Fibre Response

Royal Canin Fibre Response Cat is a dietary food enriched with specific fibres such as beet pulp, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), Mannan-oligosaccharides (MOS) and psyllium. It helps to restore the balance of intestinal flora. These fibres inhibit the growth of harmful, disease causing bacteria, and support the bowel function. The dietary fibre also promotes the passage of food through the intestines and contributes to the quality of stool. Animals who suffer from constipation are often prescribed a diet with a high fibre content.

    Recommended for

    • Acute and chronic constipation

    Key features

The combination of highly digestible protein, rice, special dietary fibre and fish oil ensures a balanced intestinal flora and optimal digestion. The fibre in Royal Canin Fibre Response Cat improves passage, so stools become softer without causing diarrhoea. It also aids in binding harmful substances in the large intestine, promoting the health of the large intestine through the inclusion of fatty acids, and improving mucous membrane condition in the large intestine. The omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA found in Royal Canin Fibre Response Cat contribute to the health of the gastrointestinal tract. The specific combination of acting antioxidants (Vitamin C, vitamin E, taurine and lutein) work together to contribute to the neutralisation of free radicals.

    Not suitable for:

Royal Canin Fibre Response is not suitable for gastrointestinal disorders causing constipation or full or partial intestinal obstruction.

Royal Canin Fibre Response Cat reviews
  • Remarkable!
By Danielle, Saturday 27 April 2019

My cat was sick for over six months with loose bowels that quickly resulted in bloody stools and thus infection after infection. He was treated for IBS, SIBO, allergies, it was then assumed lymphoma. The vet was unable to diagnose without a biopsy but I decided to trial a wider variety of food options to exhaust all non-intrusive options first. I knew he responded well to fibre, which I was administering via syringe as per vet recommend. This food is recommended for constipation so I tried it with careful monitoring. Not only did it pull him back from another bloody stool relapse, we are now into week four of consistent stool texture and a vastly happier, healthier feline. Tip: If your cat is found to eat paper or cardboard this is a request for more fibre in their diet. I would highly recommend this food.

  • Excellent for cats with chronic constipation

If your cat has chronic constipation Fibre is a solution for this problem

  • Very pleased with cat food
By Sue, Tuesday 15 September 2020

My cat has quite a small appetite and she always suffered with constipation producing hard stools. Since using Royal Canin Fibre response she has been so much better. I feed a wet food with a small bowl of the dry Royal Canin FR and it has been very successful.

  • Absolutely excellent. Works perfectly
By Laurie, Wednesday 21 September 2022

Unfortunately our cat finds it very difficult to go. We’d been told to use lactulose and laxipet which combined did work but did take several days. Our vet recommended this and despite our cat not having teeth, if you soak the biscuits for half an hour they work perfectly. He likes them, and works in a day. Excellent product will buy again.
