Food hypersensitivity

Food hypersensitivity is relatively rare in cats. Scientific research has shown that for every one hundred cases of skin problems, only one is based on a food allergy. When your cat shows symptoms of illness caused by food, we refer to this as a food allergy, provided that the cat's reaction does match allergy symptoms. In all other cases, it is referred to as a food intolerance. The latter includes lactose intolerance due to a lactase enzyme deficiency or as a result of food poisoning, where the toxin from the food causes the symptoms.

Royal Canin Anallergenic for cats with food hypersensitivity (allergy/intolerance) that still have a bad reaction to other hypoallergenic diet foods. This food contains unique feather proteins, which have been hydrolysed, minimising the risk of a reaction in your cat.

Composition

Maize starch, feather hydrolysate with a low molecule weight (source of L-amino acids and oligopeptides), copra oil, soya oil, vegetable fibres, minerals, animal fat, fish oil, chicory pulp, fructooligosaccharides, maltodextrins, mono and diglycerides of palmitic acid and stearic acid esterified with citric acid, dextrose, Tagetes (African) extract (source of lutein). Protein source: feather hydrolysate with a low molecule weight (source of L-amino acids and oligopeptides). Source of carbohydrates: maize starch.
