Canine t/d - Dental Care Prescription Diet - Canine
Hill's t/d provides strong teeth and fights bad breath. The dry food contains no mineral abrasives or active chemicals. They are most effective when given after a professional dental treatment. Other dental care methods are recommended (such as brushing). The dry food of Canine t/d is specially formulated and contains aligned fibres in a special fibre matrix, so the food has to be ground by the teeth. This has a light scraping effect, slowing the development of tartar, plaque and stains. Moderately reduced levels of protein, calcium, phosphorous, and sodium limit the build-up of dental plaque. Hill's t/d mini contains smaller kibble for dogs weighing less than 10 kg.
Dental problems in dogs
Plaque and tartar is formed along and under the edge of the gums. Because your dog cannot brush its teeth, the formation of tartar can lead to periodontal disease which causes gums, teeth, and supporting tissues to soften.
Clinically proven to help reduce the development of tartar, plaque and stains.
Not suitable for
This diet is not suitable for cats, puppies, pregnant or lactating dogs, and dogs with severe dental disease without an appropriate examination or treatment.
