Food hypersensitivity

Food hypersensitivity means that your cat has an excessive or allergic reaction to certain ingredients in its food. This can be treated with certain special diets, which do not contain the ingredients your cat is allergic to. The food hypersensitivity diagnosis can be made through the use of an elimination diet. These diets are sometimes called hypoallergenic and contain a single protein and a single source of carbohydrate which are known to rarely cause a hypersensitive reaction.

TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD (Turkey) Cat

TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD (Turkey) contains a single protein and a single source of carbohydrates, turkey and rice respectively. These two ingredients rarely cause an allergic reaction in cats. As a result, this diet food prevents immunological reactions (food allergies) and non-immunological reactions (food intolerances) in the form of skin complaints and/or gastrointestinal complaints. By switching to a hypoallergenic diet such as TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD, reactions such as scratiching, rubbing and biting can be gradually reduced. In addition, TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD (Turkey) Cat contains all of the nutrients your cat needs on a daily basis.

Use

Initially, we recommend that you use TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD (Turkey) Cat for 3 to 8 weeks. When the hypersensitivity symptoms disappear, TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD (Turkey) Cat can be used indefinitely. It is important that you strictly observe this diet to eliminate outside ingredients.

TROVET Hypoallergenic TRD (Turkey) Cat is also suitable for kittens with these conditions.

Not suitable for

Animals with a hypersensitivity to turkey protein.
