    TROVET Renal RID (Venison) Cat

    TROVET Renal RID (Venison) Cat is a specially tailored diet food based on the requirements of adult cats' with kidney failure. The food has a limited protein content and a minimal phosphorus content in order to reduce the strain on the kidneys. Omega-3 fatty acids have been added to reduce inflammation in the kidneys. TROVET Renal RID (Venison) Cat contains extra energy. In the event of a reduced appetite, the cat can eat a smaller amount of this food and still get its required daily energy. The food contains venison as the only animal protein source and rice as the only source of carbohydrates and is therefore highly suitable for cats with food hypersensitivities.

    Key features of TROVET Renal RID (Venison) Cat

    • Supports the kidneys in regulating the moisture and electrolyte balance in the body and helps remove waste substances.
    • The high organic value of the food provides very few "leftover amino acids" that function as a supplier for the degradation product ureum.
    • Omega 3 fatty acids (EPA and DHA) help reduce inflammation in the kidneys.
    • Hypoallergenic diet based on a single animal protein source (venison) and a single source of carbohydrates (rice).
    • Helps reduce immunological reactions (food allergies) or non- immunological reactions (food intolerance) in the form of skin problems and/or gastrointestinal problems (diarrhoea, vomiting).

    Also available in TROVET Renal RID dry food.

    Use

    The recommended usage for TROVET Renal RID (Venison) Cat is a maximum of 6 months initially for (chronic) renal insufficiency and 3 to 8 weeks initially for food allergies and intolerance. If prolonged usage is prescribed, TROVET Renal RID (Venison) Cat can be given as a complete diet food for an indefinite period of time.

    Composition

    Venison, rice, fish oil, vitamins and minerals, sunflower oil and olive oil.

    My cat with kidney disease and allergies it’s got worse could not find anything that didn’t affect her asthma till l found this found her asthma is much better having less attacks and not so bad anymore the Trovet Venison hypoallergenic food looks good quality and my very fussy cat will eat just wish they did another flavour she not had before in renal Hypoallergenic had having same all the time gets fed up but she will eat it to any with cat with renal and allergies this is very good food that’s working for my very old cat she’s now 19

    Have already given review for this product under my name it’s very good food for my renal cat got asthma with lots allergies tried loads food always something makes asthma bad also tried biscuits they make cough but wet tins very good to find just wish l food this years ago even tried veterinary food that didn’t work Royal Canin Mutifuction was ok for a while then got severe attacks with her asthma and she eat it but get feed up just wish you had another flavour for her to try has other renal got chicken

    Finally food a food my cat can eat with get allergic reaction to food tried loads food even veterinary diet which vet said works ok for while then gets allergic to it so tried venison renal she likes it and eats it but gets feed up just wish they done another flavour like rabbit has she not had before also tried biscuits but after few days can’t stop coughing due to allergic re reaction but now see stopped doing them it’s very good quality food just wish l known about years ago has she 19 had issues since she been 5

    My cat has food allergies and kidney disease. Up until now it has been impossible to get a diet that meets both these needs so its been a struggle to keep her well. But Trovet venison claims to meet both these needs which is a massive win for my cat . She's been on the meat a week and is already gobbling up her meals which is complete change for her. She seems happier in herself now she is back on a hypoallergenic diet. Time will tell if the food gives her any allergy issues but so far so good. I'm really pleased with this product. It could give my cat more year's of good quality lifespan which she otherwise would not have.
