Food hypersensitivity
Food hypersensitivity means that your cat has an excessive or allergic reaction to certain ingredients in its food. This can be treated with certain special diets, which do not contain the ingredients your cat is allergic to. The food hypersensitivity diagnosis can be made through the use of an elimination diet. These diets are sometimes called hypoallergenic and contain a single protein and a single source of carbohydrate which are known to rarely cause a hypersensitive reaction.
Key features of TROVET Hypoallergenic HRD (Horse) for Cats
TROVET Hypoallergenic HRD (Horse) for Cats contains a single protein source (horse meat) and a single carbohydrate source (rice). In addition, the diet contains all of the essential nutrients in optimal quantities. The diet is intended as the cat's sole food source for 3-8 weeks. Please note that not all symptoms will immediately diminish or disappear. Skin conditions improve gradually over time.
