Specific FKW-P Kidney Support is a food for adult cats with reduced liver or kidney function. This wet food is rich in omega-3 fatty acids from fish, has a low protein content, and contains vitamins and minerals to support and relieve the kidneys. FKW-P can also be used to prevent the formation of urinary crystals.

Specific Kidney Support also exist as a pâté and as wet food.

Properties

• High concentration of fish oil for a healthy heart and blood pressure
• Supports kidney function
• Limited phosphorous content for normal blood pressure and kidney function
• Relieves the kidneys through reduced mineral and protein levels
• Contains high biological value proteins
• Lower protein content, addition of potassium citrate, and maintaining alkaline urine reduce the likelihood of calcium oxalate, urate or cystine stone formation
• Portion packs with chunks of meat in sauce

Suitable for

• Cats with chronic renal insufficiency
• Cats with liver insufficiency (not suitable for cats suffering from cholestasis)
• Urate, oxalate, or cystine crystals in the urinary tract

Not suitable for

• Kittens
• Pregnant or lactating cats
• Cats suffering from cholestase; a low-fat diet is better suited, such as Specific FXD Adult of Specific Weight Reduction
• Cats with struvite (struvite urolithiasis)

Composition

Chicken, pork, fish oil, fish, egg powder, sunflower oil, corn starch, minerals (including tri-potassium citrate), cellulose powder, vitamins and trace elements (including chelated trace elements), yeast, psyllium husk, taurine, ammonium chloride, L-carnitine, rosemary extract. Natural antioxidants (tocopherols, rosemary extract and vitamin C). Contains no added artificial colours or flavours.
