Endocrine (hormone-related) disorders are common among older dogs. Specific CED-DM Endocrine Support is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of old(er) dogs. Specific CED-DM is a unique diet food for dogs that supports the treatment of endocrine disorders. Common complications of endocrine disorders are reduced or even prevented. The unique composition strengthens the immune system, reduces inflammation of skin and the urinary tract, stabilises blood sugar, and keeps weight at an optimal level.

Key features:

• Moderate levels of phosphorus and sodium support the renal function, with added L-carnitine and taurine to support cardiac function.
• Increased amounts of soluble and insoluble fibres make Specific CED-DM Endocrine Support a suitable food for animals with intestinal problems such as colitis, colon diarrhoea, abnormal bowel movement and constipation.
• Cereals with a high fibre content ensure that the glucose (energy) from food is released gradually (ideal for diabetics).
• The diet contains Psyllium Husk, a gel-forming soluble fibre which absorbs moisture and is known for its regulatory effect on bowel movements.
• The elevated levels of Vitamin A, E, and B complex, zinc and selenium promote the health of the skin and coat. Contains unique high levels of Omega-3 fatty acids EPA and DHA from fish oil and Omega-6 fatty acid GLA from borage oil. Recommended for:

Dosage:

The daily individual requirement may vary depending on factors such as breed, environment, season, activity etc. It is therefore advisable to continue monitoring the condition and body weight. You can adjust the dosage accordingly.

Dogs with diabetes (diabetes mellitus)

It is recommended that patients with diabetes (Diabetes Mellitus) are fed twice daily. Divide the daily portion of food into two equal parts. The time of the meals is then tuned to the time of the subsequent insulin. If you want to reward or pamper your diabetic dog, Specific CT-H(M) Healthy Treats (Mini) are recommended.

Wheat, maize protein, oats, cellulose powder, potato protein, fish oil, hydrolysed proteins pork, beet pulp, minerals, eggs, vitamins and trace elements, fish meal, animal fat, sunflower oil, psyllium, borage oil, yeast (source of beta-1.3/1.6 glucans), taurine, L-carnitine. Antioxidants: EU approved additives: BHT, BHA, propyl gallate and ascorbyl palmitate. It contains no artificial colourings or flavourings.
