SANIMED Kitten is a complete food for growing kittens.

SANIMED Kitten provides the quality nutrition that kittens of all breeds require. During a cat's youth, the growth and formation of new tissue is an important function. This diet is tailored to meet the needs of this phase. SANIMED Kitten is suitable for kittens from 4 weeks to 12 months, and is also suitable for pregnant and lactating cats.

SANIMED Kitten provides excellent support for optimum growth. Customised ratios of calcium, phosphorus and Vitamin D promote healthy skeletal development. The sources of proteins, fats and carbohydrates are of very high quality, making the food easily digestible and contributing to firm stools. The optimum composition of essential fatty acids improves your kitten's skin and coat, and supports the immune system. It can also prevent the formation of urinary crystals/bladder stones, which are painful and can cause the appearance of blood in the urine. Struvite crystals/stones form in the urine and may lead to bladder infections or blockages in the feline urethra. The latter is very painful, and can even be fatal. Struvite formation is inhibited by a low urinary pH and low concentrations of the components that form struvite (magnesium, ammonium, phosphate). SANIMED Kitten lowers the urinary pH and contains relatively low levels of struvite-forming components. As a result, the probability of stones occurring is reduced.

Urinary tract conditions:

When it comes to the formation of urinary crystals/bladder stones in kittens, struvite is the most common form. Kittens with urinary crystals suffer discomfort when urinating and urinate frequently in small amounts. Blood may also be present in the urine. The struvite crystals/stones that are formed in the urine can lead to a bladder infection (cystitis) or even a blockage of the urethra. The latter is very painful, and can even be fatal.
