Royal Canin VCN - Pediatric Starter Large Dog

Pregnant dogs have increased energy requirements from the second half of pregnancy until the end of the nursing period. They not only have to feed themselves, but their puppies as well. The food from Pediatric Starter Large Dog is suitable for both large breed mothers and large breed puppies. The dry food help the mother's condition. In addition, the food supports the resistance and the digestion. To feed the puppies, the dry food can be ground and/or soaked in water or milk at first. The food is suitable for pregnant or nursing dogs from 25 kg and large breed puppies with an adult weight of 25 kg or over, from the age of 4 weeks.

• The combination of highly digestible proteins, sugar beet pulp, rice and fish oil provide an optimal digestive process.
• The mother's and the puppy's immune systems are strengthened.
• Contains plenty of energy so that even small amounts still offer plenty of nutritional value and there is minimal strain on the digestive system.
• At the beginning of the weaning period, the kibble can be made with hot water or hot milk until it begins to lump (soak for 20 minutes with 60 degree water). These lumps are the size, composition and shape of porridge.
• There are three ways of preparing the Starter foods:
1. 1. Soaked and mashed (early weaning) to facilitate the transition from sucking to chewing solid food.
2. 2. Soaked but not mashed to help your puppy transition to eating solid food, and to ensure sufficient moisture absorption (in the middle of the weaning period).
3. 3. Dry food for puppies that can chew at the end of the weaning period.
