Product Description
Royal Canin Hepatic Dog
Copper can accumulate in the liver and seriously disrupt liver function. The low copper content and increased levels of zinc in Royal Canin Hepatic Dog limit copper accumulation in liver and damage to cells. A specific combination of antioxidants can help slow damage to the liver cells, and reduced sodium content helps to fight high blood pressure in the liver and reduce the risk of fluid accumulation in the abdomen (ascites). Animals with liver problems require a diet with a high energy content. Thanks to an increased fat content, this food provides the energy required and prevents the breakdown of bodily protein, reducing the risk of hepatic encephalopathy.
Liver Disease
Liver disease is relatively common in dogs. In recent years, great progress has been made in discovering the causes of liver disease and improving treatment methods. Specialist foods, such as Royal Canin Hepatic Dog, play an important role in the treatment of liver disease.
