    Food Hypersensitivity:

An increasing number of dogs is being diagnosed with food allergies. The diagnosis is often made without sufficient research. Scientific research has shown that in a hundred cases of skin disorders, on average only one is caused by a food allergy. If the dog exhibits allergy symptoms, which appear to be caused by food, it is a food allergy if the dog's reaction is actually accompanied by allergic symptoms. In all other cases, it is a food intolerance. An intolerance to lactose, for example, is due to a lack of the enzyme lactase, or food poisoning, where toxins from the food are responsible for the symptoms.

Royal Canin Anallergenic goes one step further than other hypoallergenic diet foods for dogs with food hypersensitivity. Test results achieved using this food are extremely compelling: with other hypoallergenic food, 22 dogs still showed symptoms after 4 weeks of having hypoallergenic food. After being fed solely on Royal Canin Anallergenic, all dogs showed an improvement in their symptoms.

    Recommended for:

    • An elimination diet for food allergies with dermatological and/or gastrointestinal symptoms
    • Food intolerance, idiopathic, chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

    Not suitable for:

Royal Canin Anallergenic is not suitable for puppies and pregnant or lactating dogs. Do not use for dogs suffering from pancreatitis or hyperlipidaemia. Your veterinarian can advise you on the most appropriate treatment and diet.

    Key features:

This diet is produced on a special production line, designed to minimise contamination. The protein requirement of the dog is provided by free amino acids and oligopeptides with a very low molecular weight (95% 1KDa). These are extracted through a special production process using feather meal, an exclusive and sustainable source of protein. The risk of allergic reactions is reduced, due to the use of purified maize starch instead of the whole grain. In addition, it reduces water loss through the epidermis and improves the barrier function and condition of the skin. Moreover, Royal Canin Anallergenic is packaged in controlled conditions to prevent oxidation.

    Ingredients:

Starch from corn, hydrolysed feather protein with a very low molecular weight (a source of L-amino acids and oligopeptides), copra oil, soya oil, minerals, vegetable fibres, chicory pulp, fructooligosaccharides (FOS), fish oil, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids esterified with citric acid, animal fats, Tagetes extract (rich in lutein).

  • Toots stoy
By Fay Clark, Monday 28 August 2023

Toots is a 6 year old Lhasa apso/bichon fraise cross she has lots of different allergies dust ,dust mite,9 weeds, flour and mould spores that we have had confirmed through dermatology and allergy testing. She was biting herself raw ,shes mainly white in colour with the dreaded discoloured orange / brown licking and biting discoloration especially the feet and legs mostly.Toots has been on this food anallergenic for approximately 5 weeks now and although her itchy skin has not gone away there's a huge difference. Dermatology has recommended a minimum of another 3 weeks before i phone with an update and so far looking positive. She does still itch but not as much, she still vomits but not as much now either so looking forward to see how the next 3 weeks believe me i have spent a fortune on my girl tying all different diets ,skin creams, anti itch chews etc and so far this by far has had made the biggest difference.
