Puur Glucosamine Extra ensures healthy joints. The balanced composition supports the build-up and maintenance of joint cartilage, ligaments and joints, ensuring optimal quality of synovial fluid, which is important for the lubrication of joints. Puur Glucosamine Extra includes glucosamine and chondroitin for the formation of proteoglycans, and together with water, these create cartilage cells and collagen. Cartilage acts as a cushion between the two sections of the joint. Also, calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, copper and manganese are important for the structure and function of joints. Puur Glucosamine Extra also contains anti-inflammatory ingredients.

Administration

Puur Glucosamine Extra can be mixed with food. Moisten the powder so that it is not blown out of the trough. For pregnant or lactating mares, consult your veterinarian before use.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed by your veterinarian, twice a day:

• Pony: 2/3 scoop
• Horse: 1 scoop

Once symptoms have improved, dosage can be halved to once a day.

1 scoop = approx. 9 grams.

Composition

Please note: The composition of Puur Glucosamine Extra for horse and pony is different to the dog and cat variety. Ginger is an anti-inflammatory for horses, but not suitable for dogs. For dogs, Boswelia is the anti-inflammatory agent.

Composition Horse: 711 mg of glucosamine (as glucosamine sulphate 2KCl) 603 mg Chondroitin Sulphate 90% (bovine) 603 mg methylsulfonylmethane (MSM), 301 mg calcium (as calcium citrate) 301 mg Magnesium (as Magnesium citrate), 7 mg of Iron (as ferrous fumarate ), 7 mg Zinc (as Zinc citrate), 1000 microgram Copper (as Copper Gluconate), 1 mg Manganese (as Manganese-citrate), 0.700 microgram Selenium (as Selenium Methionine) Extract of Boswelia serrata, Harpagophytum procumbens and Zingiber officinale (ginger).
