Phytonics Strezz

Phytonics Strezz reduces feelings of stress and anxiety following an emotional or physical trauma such as an operation or accident, without making the animal drowsy. The product contains various ingredients that can relax your pet in order to reduce the (acute) anxiety or stress.

Key features of each ingredient

• Hops (Humulus lupulus): has a relaxing and calming effect and supports digestion.
• Saffron (Crocus sativa): has a calming effect and increases concentration.
• Flesh-coloured passion flower (Passiflora incarnata): supports digestion in case of fluctuating/flabby stools and has a relaxing effect. 

Dosage

Unless doctor/therapist prescribes otherwise. In chronic cases: twice daily ( 20 drops = 1 ml):

• Dog: 3-8 drops
• Cat: 1-4 drops
• Horse: 8-15 drops

Shake well before use. For animals less than six months old, personal advice is required. Contact your vet for this.

If things improve, you can switch to a maintenance dose. You can then take half the above dosage. If your animal seems to need more, a double dose can safely be given. The dosage can be gradually reduced to the lowest possible dosage as things improve.

Administration

You can administer the product directly into the mouth using a plastic syringe, diluted with a little drop of water if necessary. The product works better on an empty stomach, so we do not recommend giving it with a meal. If your pet does not like the product, the drops can be soaked into a small treat.

Treatment duration

In acute situations, the treatment duration is relatively short. This may vary from a few days to 3 weeks. When you notice an improvement, continue to administer this product for a few more days. During long periods of discomfort, the effect is usually visible after 1 to 3 weeks. It is advisable to insert a stop week after every 6 to 8 weeks. The stimulus can be reintroduced after the stop week. Resume treatment immediately if symptoms worsen.

Please note:

At the start of the treatment, some animals may have a short-term deterioration of symptoms or other adverse reaction. In the event that the symptoms worsen considerably, you can halve the dose or stop temporarily and then build up slowly.
