    PeeWee Litter Trays

PeeWee litter trays are based on sustainability. The PeeWee EcoMinor litter tray is made up of two parts, a lower container and an upper box. The upper part is a grid, so that when the cat pees in the litter box, 90% of the urine disappears through the grid of the upper box into the lower container. The rest of the urine is absorbed by the pellets in the upper part, which then turns into sawdust. When the cat digs, the sawdust falls through the holes in the grid, allowing the grains in the upper box to remain clean. It also keeps the cat's paws clean and dry, so that the cat will no longer leave paw prints outside the litter tray.

    PeeWee EcoMinor

The PeeWee EcoMinor is a sturdy, open litter tray for normal-sized cats. For big cats there is the PeeWee EcoGranda. The litter tray is available in 3 different colour combinations.

    Open or closed litter box?

Research has shown that cats often prefer an open litter tray. Cats in an open litter tray have more control, and experience less stress.

    PeeWee Wood Pellets

The PeeWee Wood Pellets are made of the sawdust of the Swedish spruce, and are 100% biodegradable. The pellets absorb plenty of moisture and give off a fresh pine scent. They are not processed from leaf or bark, and nothing is added during the production process.

For best results, use the PeeWee EcoMinor in conjunction with the PeeWee Wood Pellets. The PeeWee Wood Pellets are formulated to work in combination with the PeeWee Litter trays. As the PeeWee litter tray only requires a 2cm layer of wood pellets, a 14 litre bag of PeeWee Wood Pellets can last a cat owner up to 4 months!

    Use

    • Load a handful of cat litter pellets into the bottom tray.
    • Place the upper box above the bottom tray and fill with a layer of sawdust, approximately 2cm deep.
    • Remove faeces daily to keep the pellets clean.
    • Empty the bottom tray when it is almost full (about once a week). The more sawdust that is in the tray, the more the odours can be absorbed.
    • Do not use abrasive sponges to clean the bottom part, as they cause small scratches that can be a hotbed for bacteria.

At PeeWee EcoHus you can watch a short video demonstrating how the PeeWee litter tray system works.

PeeWee EcoMinor - Litter Tray reviews
  • Great
    By Z Jones, Wednesday 9 December 2020

Simple to put together and very easy to clean. Good size tray. Saves on wood litter and the holes are perfect size to not clog with sawdust (which a previous tray with smaller holes did). The plastic is a little bit flimsy, so time will tell how it holds up. The first tray I ordered was lost by the carrier and customer service were helpful to remedy the situation and a replacement was sent and delivered very quickly. Overall very satisfied and would recommend.

Exactly what I was looking for, a large open sifting litter tray. Very economical to use with wood pellets. One happy cat = one happy customer.

Initially thought it was a tad expensive for a tray for a cat to toilet in however, worth every penny, no mess, NO SMELL, cats took to it straight away, easy to clean and very economical on cat litter
