Lacrisan Artifical Tears
Does your dog or cat have insufficient tear production? Then choose the Lacrisan artificial tear tear based on cellulose derivative and polyvidone. This artificial tear can also be used for tear stains and for cleaning the eyes. The practical dropper bottle makes it easy to administer a few drops into the eye.
To be used for
- Insufficient tear production
- Risk of drying out the eyeball, for example during anaesthesia
- Eye examination
- For cleaning the eyes
- For tear stains
Administration
You apply the drops locally to the eye using the dropper bottle. When doing so, the tip of the dropper should not come into contact with the eye or eye hairs.
Dosage drops
- Keeping the eyes moist in case of insufficient tear production: apply 1 or more drops to the eye, up to 1 drop every hour
- Moistening the eyes during anaesthesia: apply a few drops to the eye
- Cleaning the eyes and removing sleep in the eyes: 1 or more drops in the eye
- Preventive against tear streaks: 1 or 2 drops in the eye 2 to 3 times daily.
- Removal of tear streaks: drip Lacrisan on a cotton ball and use this to clean the area around the eye
After opening, Lacrisan has a shelf life of 30 days. You store the product at room temperature (15°C - 25°C).

Composition
Lacrisan contains a cellulose derivative and polyvidone. Both substances increase the viscosity of the tear film.
