Product Description
Lacriforte can be used as an artificial tear treatment in cases where dogs or cats are producing too few tears or are at risk of drying out their eyeballs.
These drops can also be used for eye examinations (gonioscopy), for cleaning the eye itself, and for the removal and prevention of tear stains.
Directions for use
Lacriforte should be applied at room temperature. The drops are applied into the eye with the aid of a dropper bottle. It is important that the tip of the dropper bottle does not come into contact with the eye or eyelashes; it will cause the animal to reflexively squeeze their eye shut.
Administration and dosage:
Apply Lacriforte at room temperature. The drops can be applied into the eye with the aid of a dropper bottle. In cases of insufficient tear production, depending on its severity, it may be necessary to apply a drop in each eye every hour. During general anaesthesia: apply a few drops in each eye. To clean the eyes: one or more droplets in the eye. For the removal and prevention of tear stains: one or two drops in the eye, several times a day.
After opening, Lacriforte has an expiry date of 28 days. Please note: this only applies if the product does not touch the actual eye. If it does, the product should be thrown out right away due to contamination.
