Kidney Diet Taster Pack for Cats reviews
  • Lots of options, hopefully something sticks.
By Maxine, Monday 23 December 2024

As other reviews have mentioned, Purina and Royal Canin were favoured. The tinned ones are all pate textured, if you have a cat licks everything they may not like this as Milo licked them into concrete blocks. Cans are easier to recycle but fiddly and always pate texture. Hills he only eats the sauce. Sick after Vetality one, only time he's been sick while working through these. The one in the big tin is really smelly. Sanimed didn't interest him at all. Overall a really handy pack to test options for your cat, I used it as an advent calendar as there are so few renal treats.

  • Worthwhile
    By J, Saturday 14 December 2024

I found this taster pack worth buying if you don't want to buy a full pack of one thing to see if your cat likes it. My cat would only eat 2 of the varieties so it was well worth it for me.

  • Great idea different flavours to try
By Valerie Gaskell, Thursday 5 December 2024

My cat was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure and was advised to change diet. I did however but it was too late. Unfortunately he died last Wednesday. We did however give the box of food to the cats home charity.

  • Useful to weed out unwanted foods
By Fliss Jay, Wednesday 4 December 2024

It can be expensive trying different renal foods. This is a good way to do it. Out of all the different foods we tried from the pack, our cat rejected all but 2. We have now ordered the 2 he liked, and he's eating a lot more than he did. He's also using the litter tray less, on the renal food?!

  • Great Taster Pack
By Sue Wallbanks, Friday 1 November 2024

After trying most kidney foods without any joy - I found this taster pack and what a game changer it was. Out of all the tasters in the box my cat opted for the Royal Canin. A lot of the top companies should do tasters of their foods instead of making you buy a weeks supply of foods at a hefty price, only to find out that the food is unacceptable by the cat. Good job Vetsend
