Celebrating Easter with your pets!

With spring in full bloom, Easter is already around the corner. Easter is all about cosiness, spending time together and, of course, good food. Let's not forget to include our beloved pets. From fun toys to tasty treats, here are some ideas to make Easter special for both you and your pet.
The cutest Easter activities
Our pets love being with us all day long and like nothing more than being involved in fun activities. As much as children enjoy looking for Easter eggs, this can also be a really fun activity for your dog. Hide some tasty treats or special Easter eggs in the garden, or in the house, and let your dog hunt for them.
It is also fun to make a special Easter basket for your furry friend. Fill it with treats and a fun Easter toy such as the Hippity Hoppity Bunnies from P.L.A.Y. or the Zippy Paws Easter Egg. This is something they will really like. Because let’s face it, which pet doesn’t love presents?

Easter snacks for your pet
Easter also includes an Easter brunch in many households. Time to spoil your pet with a tasty snack too. Ingredients:
- 1 ripe banana
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (make sure it does not contain xylitol, which is toxic to pets)
- 1/4 cup of oatmeal
Instructions:
- Mash the banana in a bowl until smooth.
- Add the peanut butter and oatmeal to the bowl and mix well.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking tray.
- Place the baking tray in the freezer until the balls are firm.
- Serve the Easter snacks to your pet and enjoy the Easter celebration together!
Beware of chocolate!
Although chocolate is a favourite Easter treat for humans, it is important to remember that chocolate can be toxic to pets, especially dogs and cats. Make sure chocolate is kept out of your pet’s reach and make sure that any chocolate Easter eggs in the garden are removed before letting your dog or cat outside.
